The International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, or ISAC, has awarded the merit title of ISAC-Fellow to Hartmut Derendorf, Ph.D., a distinguished professor emeritus in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. The newly established honorary title recognizes professionals who excel within their field or have delivered outstanding service to the society and is appointed by the ISAC Executive Committee. Derendorf has served as an editor of ISAC’s International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents for the last ten years. In 2018, the journal achieved an impact factor at 4.6 and ranked 15 out of 89 journals in the infectious diseases category of the Clarivate Analytics Journal Citation Reports.
